Bloomingdale Public School Food Service Information for 2019 – 2020 School Year
Free Breakfast and Lunch for All Bloomingdale Public School Students
Bloomingdale Public Schools will be offering FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH this year to all students. Every student will be allowed to receive one reimbursable breakfast which includes a milk, fruit, and choice of entrée. The students will be allowed to receive one reimbursable lunch which includes a milk, fruit, vegetable, and choice of entrée. If a student only wants a milk they would have to pay the $0.50 for the milk. Any extra items or ala carte items will have to be purchased and the students will need to have money on their lunch account or cash to make these purchases. We will not be allowing charging for extra items.
Lunch menus will be posted online at the school website under the foodservice link, or sent home with elementary students every five weeks. We have a lot of exciting new recipes and menu options coming out this year. All lunches include the main entrée, a choice of different fresh fruits and vegetables available on our food bar, there is always 5 or more choices of fruits and vegetables available daily for students to select, and a choice of chocolate or white milk. We look forward to providing your students with a healthy and tasty lunch every day.
Survey for Title 1 and 31A Funding
We will no longer be sending out free and reduced lunch applications every year for families to complete, however to avoid a drop in some school funding we are asking families to complete one family survey per household. The school will be sending out a survey for Title 1 and 31A Funding. Please complete this survey and submit back to the school. Only one survey per household is needs to be completed. Please remember this is not a free and reduced lunch application.
We use www.sendmoneytoschool.com so parents who want to deposit money on their student’s lunch account from their computer have that option. All you need is to go to this website, and have a personal email address, plus your child’s Student ID number. The website will walk you through the process of setting up an account for your child, and it can be completed very quickly. Also this website will allow you to monitor your child’s lunch account from home.
